'In peace true soldiers are captive lions, fretting in their cages. War gives them their liberty and sends them, like boys bounding out of school, to obtain their heart's desire, or perish in the attempt. Battle is the soldier's vital breath! Peace turns him into a stooping asthmatic. War makes him a whole man again, and gives him the heart, strength, and vigour of a hero.'
C.T. Studd (famous British missionary)

THE HEATHEN RAGED

'The heathen raged [they roared violently and protested], the kingdoms were moved [the nations were troubled and shaken]:

God uttered his voice, the earth melted.' He only has to speak one word.  Psalm 46:6

And so as we look out into our world, we see and hear the hatred and violent screaming of a maddened human race who think they are right about everything. They chant and protest, roar out their demands with threats and cries of their own self-righteousness and what they assume to be correct.

They are like the beasts of the jungle, believing themselves to be owners of some part of this world from which they will very soon perish and return to dust.

God will utter his voice and they will all be consumed by death and destruction. Their plans and demands, their hatred and violence, will melt in the heat of His fury. Their personal beliefs along with all of their 'religions' shall be annihilated by His judgments. 'For our God is a consuming fire'.  Hebrews 12:29

'Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be a very tempestuous fire-storm round about him.'  Psalm 50:3

'And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all those who believe in that day (for you believed when we told you the truth).'
