'In peace true soldiers are captive lions, fretting in their cages. War gives them their liberty and sends them, like boys bounding out of school, to obtain their heart's desire, or perish in the attempt. Battle is the soldier's vital breath! Peace turns him into a stooping asthmatic. War makes him a whole man again, and gives him the heart, strength, and vigour of a hero.'
C.T. Studd (famous British missionary)

EARTHQUAKE

'And there was a great earthquake, such as had never been seen since men were on the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell down [collapsed]: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give to her the cup full of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away [vanished from sight], and the mountains were not found.'

The dreadful situation in Turkey and Syria following a devastating earthquake has grabbed the attention of a world already reeling from the recent global fear and turmoil created by man.

Now nature erupts in a terrifying show of just a fraction of its power from fifteen miles below the ground. It seems like the whole of creation is writhing and convulsing under the wickedness and evil that mankind has inflicted upon the face of the planet.

This morning, tremors were felt in Western New York alarming the residents and giving fair notice that nowhere is exempt from an overwhelming catastrophe.

The quote at the top of this page is from the Book of Revelation in the Bible. It speaks of a gigantic earthquake the likes of which have never been known before. Sometime in the future it is going to affect every nation on earth. It speaks of the cities of the world falling and collapsing to the ground.

Just looking at the awful pictures in Turkey of thousands of buildings pancaked and utterly destroyed, of lives crushed and lost, of distress and fear, should wake us up to the truth of what has been written and recorded for our warning and preparation in the days ahead.

There is a scientist who just a few days ago 'predicted' this current earthquake. Much is being made of his remarks and people are taking notice in case he has more to say. Yet the words of Revelation, and indeed the Bible as a whole, have been ignored, despised, hated, and rejected by the great majority of the 8 billion inhabitants on earth.

The whole of creation is in great pain at the injustice and wickedness of man. Creation itself will be part of the coming judgments on this world. What we are seeing across the face of the earth is the final warnings that our days are numbered, and the time of man's rebellion against God will come to an abrupt end.

Better to get right with God now, before it is too late to do so.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Yshuwah the Messiah, and you shall be saved.
