'In peace true soldiers are captive lions, fretting in their cages. War gives them their liberty and sends them, like boys bounding out of school, to obtain their heart's desire, or perish in the attempt. Battle is the soldier's vital breath! Peace turns him into a stooping asthmatic. War makes him a whole man again, and gives him the heart, strength, and vigour of a hero.'
C.T. Studd (famous British missionary)

Three things to make the world better

KINDNESS DIFFUSES HATRED

‘And be kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.’  (Ephesians 4:32)

GENTLENESS DENIES THE RIGHT TO VINDICTIVENESS

‘The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have put to death the flesh (our carnal nature) with the affections and lusts.’  (Galatians 5:22-24)

FORGIVENESS GOES BEYOND SEVEN TIMES

'Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times? Jesus answered him, I say not unto you, until seven times: but, until seventy times seven.’  (Matthew 18:21-22)

Now, if these three things became a reality in the church and among believers, how quickly the world would acknowledge that we have something worth talking about!
