I have seen something this morning while writing my new book. It is something that excites me and gives me great hope in these difficult days. It is an expectation of what might be thought quite unlikely, and indeed impossible, unless God makes it to happen.
The world is dying. What I mean by that is not what you might immediately think. We have entered a new era in the history of this planet. What we are seeing all over the world is the countdown to the end of all things. It may be months, years, or even decades, but be certain, that as surely as the sun sets in the west every day, so the sunset of mankind is most certainly in process. The sun is going down on all that we have taken for granted throughout our long and turbulent history as humans. A night is coming in which the troubles and distresses of ancient prophecies are about to unfold their words, and unleash a storm upon a violent and self-centred humanity.
Even nature itself is heaving and turning with its unrest at the evil of the people it supports and gives life to. The whole of creation is disturbed at the wickedness of mankind. Every tsunami, earthquake, raging storm, and volcanic eruption, are just the beginnings of what is in store. They are shouting out to every nation, making their voice to be both heard and felt. Creation has a voice, and that voice will indeed be heard, whether it be from the ground, the sky, or even the sun, the moon, and the stars. It has little (if indeed anything) to do with 'climate change', but everything to do with the consequences of man's refusal to hear the voice of God.
We think that we are so smart, so clever, so inventive, that we can find a cure to all of the problems that face this generation. The Bible speaks of the nations raging, warring, and in great tumult. Then it says, 'He uttered his voice, and the earth melted'. Mankind will discover that God is so much bigger than all of their technology and intellectual defiance. He only has to speak to his creation, and the ground will split open and swallow a nation, the skies will rain down fire and hailstones together, a plague will render an entire population incapacitated, and a star will fall from the skies and rock the earth to and fro like a drunkard. God speaks, and the earth melts.
But God is both merciful and patient, longsuffering and gracious, and still, to this day, he offers salvation and forgiveness to any who might turn around and face him in honesty and truth.
What is it that I have seen as I typed away today? Ahh, that is a glimmer of hope that will bring light into the darkness and a message to break into the stupidity of this age of delusion and deception.
An army is going to arise from among those who we might least expect it of. This army shall be courageous and powerful, separated from all that this world has to offer, and marching under a cause that grips their souls and enflames their spirits. They shall rise from the ashes of a lost generation, and surprise even the old veterans who thought that there was no hope left and nobody who cared.
They are coming, even though right now they do not know that they are actually called. They are not aware that they are warriors and raised for such a time as this. But the ground will shake before them, and the mockers shall perish at their feet.
The religious in their 'holy' buildings shall despise them, but this army will walk right through their doors and tear their idols and rituals down. They will fear no one; and they will call a multitude to follow them.
God is with them.
