I have read many a book, watched many films and documentaries, listened to lectures and attended meetings with many subjects. I suppose of all the books I have read, there have been a few which I have picked up and read maybe two or three times afterwards because their content was either intriguing, refreshing, contained humour or true-life stories (both of which I love).
There is, however, one book which I have been reading for well over forty years. You might assume that it is the longest book in the world with as many pages to keep me going for the rest of my life.
How can I be still reading the book after all this time? Do I not get bored? Is it not getting a bit worn out by now?
I was introduced to this book when I was very young, but it did not really hold any great appeal to me whatsoever, and as I grew up I found it rather uninspiring and left it behind. However, it was on a certain day that I was compelled to look it out and begin to read it in earnest, and the more I read, the more I wanted to know.
Unlike any other book I had in my possession, it began to have an immediate effect on my life, inspiring me, challenging me, and daring me to become more than I could ever dream of being. Throughout the years that have followed, this book has been a life-saver to me in more ways than I could ever write down. It has shone like a light on my journey through this world, making me laugh at times, find my way out of trouble, directed me into making right decisions (and telling me off when I made wrong ones!), and even making me cry at other moments.
To me it has been, and still is, the very best book in the world. It has seen me through a dreadful accident where I was left for dead on the road, made me stand tall in the face of hostile enemies that wanted me dead and gone, lifted me up from the pit of loneliness and isolation, and given me hope when all hope was gone. It has made me strong when I felt weak, shown me a purpose and reason for being here, given me assurance and confidence when anxieties and stress descended like heavy waves upon my life, and has been a lifeboat in those storms that suddenly come out of nowhere.
This amazing book really does do something for you at every daily twist of circumstance and unexpected event. It doesn't just inspire, but actually imparts real wisdom (not the stuff you might learn in university, but something much higher and deeper). It is like holding a torch that throws light upon your walk every day, exposing the dangers and illuminating the path you need to take. It has powers of preservation and health that are both richer and sweeter than anything the world has to offer.
It gives you greater and more noble understanding than any other book in the world can do. It exposes hidden secrets and mysteries that other people can never see or comprehend. It shows you what is really going on in our world behind all of the lies and deceits of governments and the powerful controllers of finance and global order agendas. It lifts you up above the manipulative controls of those who seek dominion of populations and the culling of cultures and races. It gives you eyes that go beyond physical observation, and delivers insight and perception to things which you would otherwise never know.
I must say, however, that not everyone can understand or see the hidden realities and secret messages in this book (of which there are many). It really is a very deep and mysterious volume that only those who have the gift of wisdom and understanding can perceive: but here is the paradox, it is through the reading of this book that such wisdom and understanding is actually imparted. It takes faith to read it, and faith to apprehend its nature and unfathomable depths; and even that sort of faith only comes whist reading it.
I have not exhausted even a minute fraction of its truth and revelation even after reading it for four decades! It is undoubtedly the very best book in the world, and it is also the biggest selling book in the world ever. Yet, it is also the most scary book in the world.
The reason that people will not read it is because they are afraid of its contents! This is true! It matters not what their argument is, fear is the only reason they will refuse to delve into its pages: fear that they may be proved wrong and found to be liars; fear that they might feel somewhat uncomfortable when the light in that book begins to expose their secret lives; and fear that they may actually end up believing what it says and having to live on a different level. They can use a multitude of excuses and arguments, but these are the real facts.
The whole world right now is cowering in fear at something they cannot see or understand. The media and governments of the world will tell you their depressing and mentally toxic stories; but this book can deliver you from that fear and show you what is really going on and what is going to happen next. This book can prepare you for the future which will be very different to anything we have ever known. This book is a beacon of hope reaching out to anyone who will listen and seek for reason.
This book has been translated into nearly every language on earth, and is available everywhere, even in China and other repressive states where the fear of this book has made the leaders ban it from circulation. It really is that scary to those who run their nations in darkness and deception! Even here in the West, the governments seek every way to either obliterate its importance or hide it from view wherever and however possible; and yet, according to a fourteen year research by Chinese academics seeking to find out the reason Britain became such a powerful empire, it was concluded that it was down to this book and our historic belief in what it teaches.
I love this book! It is my prized possession. I have had quite a few copies in my time and most of them get worn out through my underlining, date-marking and note-making! My name is in this book, not just as a title to four sections, but indelibly written with invisible ink into the truth and hopes of its pages for all eternity.
This book? Well, as you guessed already, it is the Bible, or as one Scottish soldier said to me, 'The Holy Bible'. Yup, it is holy, profound, incredible, majestic, and eternal. It can never be destroyed.
